  • A sick nephew and floods!

    Ahhh it's been busy here.

Baby Daniel is poorly. He was born on Saturday the 22nd and came home Sunday 23rd. Unfortunately he was re-admitted on Tuesday 25th and is still there.

He's had really bad jaundice and hasn't been feeding very well. He became very dehydrated and could have died had my brother and his girlfriend listened to the midwife and stayed at home another 24 hours to "see how he goes".
He's being fed by tube at the moment and only taking very small amounts from the bottle. The doctors think he could be in for another couple of weeks.

So some get well soon vibes would be appreciated!

Also, excitement on Thursday evening came in the form of floods, yes floods!!!

I was rounds at my grandparents house lying by the pool and it suddenly became very cloudy, there was vast speculation about whether it would rain, but having washing on the line I decided to get off home.
Just aswell I did, within an hour we had about 2ft of rain.
The roof was leaking, the bay window was leaking and the back doors didn't fair too well either. The entire road was knee deep in water - thankfully it didn't reach the house.
There were kids in the road actually swimming in it!

    Here's a picture of the High Street;

It was very exciting, I've never seen rain like it, it just wouldn't stop.
But now we have dirty big water stains on the bathroom ceiling :-/

  • I'm an Aunty............

Look here is Daniel, born on Saturday night weighing 6lb 2oz.
    He's fab!!

  • The Middle East........

So America are sending Condoleezza Rice over to Israel...mmmm.

According to the BBC News last night she isn't actually going to broker a peace agreement but rather to egg the Israeli's on in their pounding of Lebannon.

The American's have also allegedly been supplying the Israeli's with "Smart bombs"..........

Surely the terms "American" and "Smart bomb" are a contradiction in terms??????

No wonder so many civillian areas have been hit.

    God help them all.

  • I'm back

    We have returned from Spain.

Well actually I returned last Friday but couldn't be bothered to write anything until now ;D

So did I have a good time I hear you all cry......... YES I did.

Although, I missed the children terribly. I know, I know it was fab to be able to have a break but after about 20 minutes I was wishing we'd taken them.
Puerto Banus was nice enough if very expensive, I don't think I'd go back there again though. The hotel was nice enough if a little expensive and I don't think I'd stay there again either, if I did ever go back to Puerto Banus that is.

The weather was actually a bit ropey and we had some rain 8| yes rain. Out of 350 days of sunshine that they have on the Costa Del Sol I went in July and got 2 days of rain, out of 5..........figure that out.
The children behaved like little stars while we were away and are actually still being very good, I think Tom's scared stiff we'll leave him again :DD.
Grace had a little few tears one evening when I called but other than that they were fine.
The fruit cake next door even managed to behave himself, although he started again last night :##

So the childrens holiday looms, we are all off to Cornwall to a farm for a week in August, it'll be fab if the weathers like this - no actually perhaps about 10 degrees cooler ;)

So that's all for the moment I'm sitting at my desk melting at the moment, I can feel a headache coming, some Paracetamol and a cool drink I think.........

  • The fruit cakes at it again.........

    That's my odd ball neighbour.
You may recall from an earlier post that we have had some trouble with the guy that lives in a flat next to our house, well Thursday night the night before my exam he started again.
This time he was complaining that the cat going in and out of the window of the people who live underneath him was keeping him awake .

Anyhow he was ranting and swearing at them and he woke Thomas up. I peered out of the window to ask him to keep his voice down and he started on me.......

"your f*ing kids are a pain in the f*ing ae, out in the garden when people come in from work at 5 in the evening, I don't want to listen to them shouting and screaming. And you husband on that motorbike in the mornings waking everyone up, your a f*ing nuisance, blah, blah yadah bleughhh..."!

He went on for about 5 minutes, I explained that if he didn't like it he could move and that if he didn't shut up I'd call the Police, to which he advised me that I could call God if I wanted too
    Very odd!

Anyhow he ranted on until about 2 in the morning, we di call the POlice but we have to understand that they are very busy and typically wouldn't come out arghhhhh.

But on Friday we got a call from the local PC, he came to work yesterday and we chatted about what can be done. He was going to go off and find out who the bloke is and we agreed that he'll speak to him but not until we are back from our hols. I don't want to cause any problems yet as Mum's at the house next week on her own with the kids.

So there you go a proper fruit cake.

Other than that everything is good, apart from the weather today..! It's very wet here, but still very hot.
Grace is off on her first ever school trip on Friday to Birdworld, she's been there before but it'll be a novelty going with the school. Fingers crossed it stays dry for them.
Tom is well and doing pretty good with his toileting now, if we're at home he'll use the toilet all the time but we still use a nappy if we are going out.

I'm really enojoying having a break from the college work and feel much more relaxed in the evenings. Everythings not such a rush, cos I don't have to get the kids into bed so that I can get the books out.

    So that's about all really.....
